We’re looking for someone passionate about supporting adults in healing and growth through virtual therapy grounded in compassion, authenticity, and inclusivity. Our practice is LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent affirming, trauma-informed, and values-centered. If you're excited to build your clinical skills and eventually open your own practice, this may be a great fit. We are especially excited to meet applicants who identify as BIPOC, LGBTQ+, neurodivergent, or are in recovery.

Note: This is a remote position, but we are currently seeking candidates in the Sacramento metro area who are open to in-person meetings for supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide virtual therapy for adult clients across California using trauma-informed and evidence-based approaches.
  • Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans rooted in their strengths, values, and goals.
  • Support clients navigating anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, and recovery from addiction.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with ethical and legal standards.
  • Attend weekly clinical supervision, staff meetings, and team consultations.
  • Create a warm, affirming, and inclusive therapeutic space that honors each client’s lived experience.
  • Embody Authentic Self Energy and core Self-led qualities—such as compassion, curiosity, calm, and clarity—in both clinical work and team relationships.

Skills & Experience

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Counseling, or a related field.
  • Current California BBS registration as an ASW, AMFT, or APCC.
  • At least 5 years of total professional experience (clinical or related work with adults in customer service, case management, etc.).
  • Experience working in substance use treatment or holding a CADC is a plus.
  • Language fluency in Spanish or any language other than English is strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of trauma-informed care and evidence-based modalities.
  • Comfortable with telehealth platforms and remote work.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a grounded, empathetic presence.
  • Strong interest in building a private practice in the future—we will support you every step of the way.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $40–$50/hour for clinical sessions ($40/hr for associates with under 1000 hours, $45 for associates with 1001-2000 hours, and $50/hr for associates with 2001+ hours)
  • $25/hour for documentation, meetings, and supervision
  • Full caseload is 22+ sessions per week (we’re seeking someone available for at least 22 sessions weekly)
  • Full time is considered 30-32 hours per week, this includes 22 client hours and 8-10 non-clinical hours including documentation and supervision.
  • Flexible remote work schedule to support work-life balance
  • Accrued paid time off: up to 30 hours of vacation and 40 hours of sick leave per year
  • Weekly clinical supervision (meets BBS requirements)
  • Optional business coaching for associates planning to open their own private practice—including support with insurance credentialing and building a full caseload before transitioning
  • Collaborative, supportive team environment with ongoing opportunities for professional growth
