Outpatient Private Practice Therapist (LMHC or LiCSW)

  • W-2

Job Description

You must reside and work in Massachusetts for this role.

Ready to love where you work?

Come join a team that values your peace of mind. We operate on the belief that a happy clinician provides the best care, which is why we prioritize your well-being by providing warm administrative support and the freedom to build a schedule that works for you. If you are looking for a culture that respects your time and celebrates your expertise, we would love to meet you.

The Role

We are seeking a independently licensed psychotherapist (LICSW or LMHC) to join our growing team.

This is a W-2 fee-for-service role that may be part-time or full-time. Full-time employees become eligible for benefits once their caseload is full and their hours are regular.

Key Responsibilities

Your Clinical Role

  • Clinical Autonomy: You are encouraged to bring your own clinical voice and use the modalities that best fit your patients’ needs.
  • Comprehensive Care: You will lead initial evaluations and develop treatment plans that prioritize long-term patient growth. This role does not include supervision and requires the ability to independently manage a caseload.
  • Professional Standards: To keep your clinical momentum and ensure quality care, documentation is completed within 24 hours of each session.
  • Clinical Leadership: You will be empowered to monitor progress, adjust treatment as needed, and ensure patients are always at the appropriate level of care.

What You Bring

  • Professional Licensure: An active and independent Massachusetts license (LICSW or LMHC). Applicants must provide MA license type and number.
  • Clinical Experience: Must have Master's degree in a related field and recent experience providing individual 1:1 psychotherapy (within the past 2 years) and be comfortable independently managing a caseload, including intakes, treatment planning, and ongoing care. Newly independently licensed clinicians are welcome if they have maintained consistent direct clinical work.
  • Clinical Approach: Demonstrated use of evidence-based modalities (e.g., CBT, ACT, DBT, ERP) with ability to apply them independently in ongoing care.
  • Technical Comfort: Experience delivering care via telehealth and maintaining clinical records within an EHR.

What to Expect

We handle the heavy lifting so you can focus on your clients. Your credentialing and onboarding begin immediately upon hire, typically taking 6 to 8 weeks. From there, we manage all referrals and scheduling for you. There is no pressure to build your own caseload.

Your schedule will grow naturally at a sustainable pace. Once credentialed, you can expect 4 to 6 new intakes per week as you build toward a steady caseload. To ensure you have the time you need for quality care, we also provide paid administrative time. Most appointments are 55-minute sessions and ocmpensation is based on each completed 55-minute session. Non-billable time (e.g., required meetings, training, charting) is compensated separately at an administrative hourly rate.

How to Apply

We would love to hear from you! If this sounds like the professional home you’ve been looking for, please submit your resume and cover letter to start the conversation. Selected applicants will be contacted for a brief phone screen prior to scheduling a formal interview.
