Job Title: Social Skills Therapist – Center-Based Groups (Pomona, CA)
Pay Rate: $30/hour
Location: Pomona, California
Schedule: Evenings and/or Saturdays (Center-Based)

We are a center dedicated to improving the social and emotional lives of children and teens through evidence-based social skills training. We proudly utilize the only empirically supported social skills intervention proven to enhance social functioning in youth.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and reliable Social Skills Therapist to lead center-based social skills groups for children and adolescents. You will receive comprehensive training in our social skills model and ongoing support to ensure program fidelity and success.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate small group social skills sessions.

  Lead cohorts for:

• • Elementary-aged children (12-week program)

  • Middle school-aged teens (14-week program)

  • High school-aged teens (14-week program)

• Conduct weekly sessions (evenings and/or Saturdays) at our Pomona center.

• 90 minute group sessions.

• Support participants in building communication, friendship, and problem-solving skills.

• Collaborate with parents/caregivers and provide feedback on participant progress.

• Maintain accurate session notes and attendance records.

Skills & Experience

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work, Counseling, or related field (preferred).

• Experience working with children, adolescents, or individuals with social or developmental challenges.

• Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.

• Reliable, punctual, and committed to completing full program cycles.

• Willingness to be trained.

Compensation & Benefits:

• $30 per hour (will run 2-3 possibly more groups per week)

• Groups run for 90 minutes
