Job Description

We're looking for a Trauma Informed Therapist with Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) training to join our small, innovative, trauma focused private practice. The ideal candidate has completed their EMDR basic training and is interested in pursuing EMDRIA Certification. Consultation hours for EMDRIA certification are provided in-house by either CIT or Approved Consultant. The ideal candidate has training/experience working with or is interested in pursuing training in dissociation/IFS/ego state/parts work; is competent in working with LGBTQ+ clients, and works with adult clients 18+. The expected caseload for this position is 22-27 clients per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments to develop tailored treatment plans utilizing EMDR and other therapeutic modalities.
• Provide trauma-informed care and support to individuals
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Collaborate on marketing and sourcing referrals

Skills & Experience

• Virginia license to practice therapy (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LCP) (Required)
• Has completed their EMDR basic training and is interested in pursuing EMDRIA Certification
• Has training/experience working with or is interested in pursuing training in dissociation/IFS/ego state/parts work
• Is competent in working with LGBTQ+ clients
• Works with adult clients 18+
• Minimum 2 years experience as licensed therapist
• Is interested in actively learning about working in private practice
• Is willing to accept insurance based clients
